SWOT Analysis

The activities were examined from different perspectives and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of our center were evaluated in line with the institutional goals of our university.

Strengths of the Center (ÇAYAÇAM)

  1. All administrative and volunteer staff are committed to the university's institutional mission, vision, goals and objectives,
  2. Trying to implement institutional strategies in accordance with the institutional mission, vision, goals and objectives of the university by all personnel,
  3. Our closeness with service organizations such as the Golden Years Life Center,
  4. Presence of management, training and activity staff with the necessary competence in the field,
  5. Çanakkale's individuals over the age of 65 should be conscious of exercise and physical activity,
  6. Having the means and equipment to implement a successful certificate program and organize voluntary activities despite limited physical means,
  7. All Personnel have the capacity to produce quality academic research and voluntary activities on their subjects,
  8. Having the equipment and staff to support the relevant faculties of the university,
  9. Administrative staff communication is at the desired level.
  10. Appropriate access to information resources in terms of physical location and technological infrastructure.
  11. Our university is the most innovative and leading exercise center in the region
  12. Strong participation in management and taking suggestions into account.

Weaknesses of the Center

  1. Due to the current physical structure, some events cannot be organized,
  2. Lack of more comprehensive and internationally used devices and equipment,
  3. Lack of regularly working educators and staff.

Opportunities

  1. Potential to have sufficient personnel qualified to work in national and international projects,
  2. The number of instructors in charge of the center can be increased,
  3. Sufficient support by top management to interdisciplinary projects related to the achievement of corporate goals.

Threats

  1. Slow functioning of general policies supporting the studies
  2. Inadequate understanding of exercise in the elderly and therefore reduced support.
